Bio

Al Sam is a multilingual Ottawa-region performer who has been playing and writing music since the age of 12. Raised in Aylmer, he performs fluently in French, English, Spanish, and Italian, bringing a rare versatility to every stage.

With over 16 hours of covers and 16 hours of original material, his repertoire spans Quebec classics, rock, folk, chanson, R&B, soul, reggae, and even rap. From intimate cafés to high-energy bars and private events, Al Sam reads the room and adapts in real time, building sets around the vibe of the crowd and keeping people engaged.

Whether delivering nostalgic classics or unexpected twists, his focus is simple: connection, atmosphere, and a genuinely good time.

Hull collective led by singer-songwriter Al Sam, Catching Rain delivers R&B-rock with a strong summer vibe.

Made up of musicians with varied backgrounds, the group found something special. Catching Rain is more than the music, it’s embracing the highs and lows. It’s a celebration of the power of attitude.

The Al Sam projects are a fluid collective, a core of musicians connected by a shared love of life and an easygoing nature.

At its heart is Al Sam - lead singer, rhythm guitarist, and songwriter.
